Principal Message

“Education helps us get exposure to new ideas and concepts that we can use to appreciate and improve the world around us and the world within us”.

Our college first Degree college of Barkote Block, was established in 1992 under Sambalpur University to impart higher education on U.G courses to the students. This institution is situated is an area densely populated by S.T, S.C, OBC, and belonged to Paudi Bhuyan Development Agency region ,the rate of dropout after  matriculation and +2 courses was very high, the dream of the people was pacified because they could not think of sending their children to far away education centres for higher study. In such circumstances this institution grew up as saviour to mitigate their sufferings. This institution has created a ray of hope among them. Now Panchayat Degree College, Kalla is delivering courses of both +3 Arts and Science and in future U.G Commerce course and P.G courses will also be taught. The dream of the college administration is to transform this institution to be an Educational Hub in Deogarh district, where regular seminars, workshops, researches will be organized. It has a dream to establish a model society by building personality of students through quality education.
